Eligible DePaul faculty and staff can take advantage of the summer months to earn points in the Healthy Vincent’s Wellness Program. Summer is known for barbecues and vacations, but it also can be an opportune time to set up appointments and get checkups before the fall season ramps up again.
The wellness program is part of an ongoing initiative to promote the health, safety and productivity of DePaul’s faculty and staff. All eligible employees can earn a $300 incentive for accumulating 100 points through participation in healthy activities through Oct. 31, 2019.
10 points - Clean those teeth
Earn 10 points by completing an annual dental exam and cleaning. Although the deadline for annual checkups is Oct. 31, the fall months tend to be quite busy around the university. Why not set up a dentist appointment for the summer? The air-conditioned office will feel refreshing during a hot and humid August day.
Up to 15 points - Take a walk
Try taking a stroll in Lincoln Park or along the Lakefront during lunch. You’ll receive one point for every 10,000 steps per day, up to two points per day. You have an opportunity to earn a total of 15 points for logging steps. This is a self-reported activity on interactivehealth.com. You can even sync your fitness tracker through interactivehealth’s website
to automatically upload your activities.
Up to 45 points - 5k, Here I come!
Complete a local activity for 15 points each, then self-report on interactivehealth.com. This is a great opportunity to get involved in local races and earn points while you do. Participate or volunteer at a local walk or run. Three of these activities earns you a whopping 45 points!

to register and complete the team challenge. Visit the Action Plan tab and look for the challenge banner at the top of the page. Log your activity throughout the challenge. At the end of the challenge your points will be awarded if you have met the challenge goal.

Interactive Health also provides a menu of health-related activities to choose from and earn points for completion. While earning points, you will learn a great deal about health and wellness and have plenty of opportunities to put that knowledge into action.
If you complete the requirements and earn at least 100 points by the deadline, you will receive a $300 incentive in January 2020 via payroll direct deposit.
