Virtual tutoring is offered as a part of DePaul's caregiving support for benefits-eligible employees. Services are provided through Bright Horizons, a nationally known and trusted organization that provides center-based and in-home care.

In addition to virtual tutoring, you have access to caregiving services for children, adult and elder family members during a lapse or breakdown in normal care arrangements. Bright Horizons will arrange temporary care for your children or elderly loved ones up to 30 days in advance, and you are only responsible for a small copay with each reservation.

Benefits-eligible employees have access to 15 days of back-up care per calendar year. Usual copays are below—but copays are currently waived through April 30, 2022.

  • Center-based copay: $15 for one child/day; $25 max for a family
  • In-home care copay: $6 per hour for up to three children
  • Virtual tutoring: Exchange a Back-Up Care day for four hours of virtual tutoring

Bright Horizons also offers monthly expert-led webinars on a variety of topics for families—click here for the 2022 webinar schedule.
