Training for DePaul managers

Are you a manager at DePaul looking to grow your performance management skills and to connect with other managers? Then the university has a training series for you!

This three-session series combines self-paced learning modules with a collaborative skills lab alongside other managers at DePaul.

You are encouraged to attend as many sessions as you can. Sign up by going to mybluesky.depaul.edu, navigating to the Learning tile and then searching for any of the following titles.

Goal Setting and Maintenance

  • Collaborating to set clear expectations
  • Different types of goals
  • Making sure goals are SMART

The Performance Appraisal Process

  • Review of the overall performance appraisal process and timeline
  • Evaluating goals and performance
  • Conducting the performance appraisal meeting

Ongoing Feedback and Coaching

  • Keeping lines of communication open all year
  • Having difficult conversations
  • Recognition and coaching

These courses are part of DePaul's overall Management Foundations curriculum. Additional eLearning courses in Interviewing and Hiring, Compensation Basics and Employee Relations are available now, and skill labs are coming soon.
