Health and benefits fair kicks off next week

Health Fair

From flu shots to earning points toward the Wellness Program incentive, all benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to take full advantage of everything that this year’s in-person Health and Benefits Fair has to offer.

Four in-person Health and Benefits Fair sessions are set for 2022. Each session will be held from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.:

  • Monday, Oct. 17
Lincoln Park Student Center, Room 120 A/B
  • Tuesday, Oct. 18
Lincoln Park Student Center, Room 120 A/B
  • Wednesday, Oct. 19
Loop Campus DePaul Center, Concourse level
  • Thursday, Oct. 20
Loop Campus DePaul Center, Concourse level

Visit the Health and Benefits Fair webpage for details, including how to make a reservation for a biometric screening and a flu shot.

If you can’t make it in-person, the university will also have virtual offerings to support your benefits decisions. A virtual version of the fair will launch on Oct. 17. You can use ALEX, DePaul's virtual benefits “counselor,” to review your benefits options to ensure that you get the most out of your benefits and use your money wisely; 2023 benefits information will be available in ALEX on Oct. 17.

The Health and Benefits Fair provides information to help you prepare to choose benefits for 2023 during Open Enrollment, which will take place Oct. 24 through Nov. 4. This is your annual opportunity to enroll in or make changes to the following benefits:

  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Supplemental life insurance (A new vendor for 2023 will be the Hartford; additional information about this change will be communicated during open enrollment.)

Beyond Open Enrollment, the only other time you can make changes for the majority of your benefits is if you experience a qualifying life event or family status change. Please note: Elections for Flexible Spending Accounts do not carry over and must be made each year.

More information on how to make changes to your benefits selections will be sent by email and appear in Newsline when Open Enrollment begins.
