Tuition exchange program for dependents of full-time employees

As shared via email, tuition exchange program applications for the 2023-24 academic year are being accepted until Oct. 1, 2022.

If you are a full-time employee with at least one year of service and whose dependent child is pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship at participating "host" schools through the tuition exchange program. Tuition exchange program applications for the 2023-24 school year are being accepted through Oct. 1.

Tuition exchange offers national scholarship exchange programs for the dependents of employees of member schools, including DePaul. Interested employees must apply now for their dependents to receive benefits for the 2023-24 academic year. Dependents enrolled in the program this academic year do not need to reapply to receive benefits next year. It also is important that parents and students make alternative preparations if the child is not accepted or does not receive the expected funding for the school of choice. For further information about the program, review the tuition exchange rules and guidelines.

How to apply

If your dependent child is interested in participating in the Tuition Exchange program, you should:

  • Visit the Tuition Exchange website at http://www.tuitionexchange.org for more information, including a list of participating institutions.
  • Complete the tuition exchange's EZ Online Application. There is a limit of 10 institutions per application.

You must complete and submit the application by Oct. 1 at 11:59 p.m. for your dependent(s) to enter the tuition exchange program in fall 2023. This will be your only opportunity to apply for the 2023-24 school year. There is no penalty if you apply and later decide not to utilize the scholarship award; your dependent(s) will simply be removed from the program.
