Pins, Cords & Stoles

Below is information regarding pins, cords, and stoles available for commencement. Additional graduation accessories may also be distributed by honor societies and student groups. Please enquire with your society or group for information.

Academic Honors Pins

DePaul gives honors pins based on honors requirements, which may include GPA, final project completion and other program-specific criteria. If you graduated with honors (for Fall and Winter grads) or are on track to graduate with honors (for Spring and Summer grads), you will be eligible to receive an Academic Honors pin at the Commencement Pickup for your college. Eligibility will be determined by your college office as of Winter Quarter final grades. Please note: pins are not able to be mailed or picked up at another time.

Legacy Cords

At DePaul it’s been a tradition for our graduates to think bigger than themselves and to help pay it forward for current students who may need help next year. You have a chance to join your 2025 classmates in leaving a legacy by donating to support any area of DePaul that you are passionate about. Every gift, no matter the size, will make a difference. Once you make your donation you will receive a legacy cord to wear proudly at commencement.

International Stoles

Graduation stoles representing more than 175 countries and regions are available for purchase through Herff Jones. Additional stoles can be added to your existing cap and gown order or ordered separately.
