Regalia Information

Regalia must be purchased through Herff Jones. The ordering site will be available beginning February 1. The deadline to purchase your cap and gown is April 12, 2023. More information about regalia ordering, cost, and appearance can be found on the Cap and Gown page. Graduates have the option to have their regalia shipped home (for $13.95) or to campus (for free). Regalia ordered with the ship-to-campus option can be picked up at the Commencement Pickup event in May.

Law Commencement Pickup

DePaul's Law Commencement Pickup event will be held on the DePaul Center Concourse on May 17 & 18, 2023, 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Attending both days is not necessary. Graduates should anticipate being at the event for about 30 minutes.

At Commencement Pickup, graduates will receive important information for commencement day. This is also where graduates will pick up their reader card and cap and gown (if the ship-to-campus option was chosen upon ordering). Many important university partners will also be on hand, including:
  • Representatives from the College of Law
  • Alumni Relations
  • Career Services
  • GradImages, to take pictures of graduates in their regalia.

*Participating in the commencement ceremony is optional and does not equate to degree completion. It is a student's responsibility to review their Degree Progress Report to ensure they are on track to complete the requirements and verify their completion term. Students may apply for degree conferral in Campus Connect; please be aware that submitting an online application does not guarantee a degree will be granted from DePaul University. Additionally, regardless of participation at commencement, students will not receive a diploma until all outstanding financial obligations have been fulfilled. Students should contact their Academic Advisors and DePaul Central with questions.
