College of Law students please visit the Law ceremony page for more details.

Students participating in the June ceremonies, please follow these steps:
  1. Check that you meet all academic requirements
  2.  Apply for degree conferral
    • Degree conferral is the completion of your academic requirements and the awarding of your degree. To be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony you must first apply for degree conferral in Campus Connect.
  3. RSVP  to participate in the June Ceremonies  and reserve tickets
  4. The RSVP in Campus Connect is now closed.  You may still RSVP but will need to contact your home college for assistance with the RSVP process. Please see list below. The RSVP will reserve your six (6) guest tickets, which are picked up at Commencement Kickoff.  We ask for your patience on response time as staff are assisting many students.

  5. Cap and Gown
    • Students who missed the deadline to purchase cap and gown may still buy a regalia package at Commencement Kickoff. View the Cap and Gown page for details.
  6. Attend Commencement Kickoff
    • Commencement Kickoff is the distribution of caps and gowns, and other important materials you will need for the day of your commencement ceremony, including picking up your tickets and reader card.  Visit the Commencement Kickoff page for more details. Yo may attend either of the two days anytime during event hours.
  7. Check the Commencement ceremonies schedule and find your college. Don't forget to share this information with your guests
Participating in the commencement ceremony is optional and does not equate to degree completion. In some cases, students may be eligible to walk in the ceremony before completing all academic requirements. It is a student's responsibility to review their Degree Progress Report to ensure they are on track to complete the requirements and verify their completion term. Students may apply for degree conferral in Campus Connect; please be aware that submitting an online application does not guarantee a degree will be granted from DePaul University. Additionally, regardless of participation at commencement, students will not receive a diploma until all outstanding financial obligations have been fulfilled. Students should contact their Academic Advisors and DePaul Central with questions.
