Please accept our heartfelt congratulations on being so close to earning your DePaul degree! We understand you applied to graduate or may be close to earning enough credits to graduate this academic year. This accomplishment truly exemplifies your hard work and perseverance to complete your degree. We are extremely proud of your academic achievements and look forward to celebrating with you at DePaul’s commencement ceremony in May.

 

On that note, we wanted to share the 2024 College of Law commencement ceremony date and time, so that you, your family, and friends can begin planning now for this milestone event. Detailed information about the ceremony will be shared in January via email and on the commencement website.

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Doors open at 10:00 a.m.)

Tickets

DePaul provides each graduating student free general admission tickets. Ticket availability will be determined by the number of expected graduates in attendance. Ticket allotments will be communicated in January.


Purchasing regalia 

To participate in your commencement ceremony, a cap and gown are required. The Herff Jones ordering site is expected to launch in February. Master's and Juris Doctor regalia include a cap, gown, tassel, and hood.

As your graduation approaches, be on the lookout for more important information. In the coming months, we will share details about tickets, the lottery to receive additional tickets, and regalia ordering via email, Newsline, and the commencement website.

Graduates must RSVP to the ceremony to reserve tickets and must purchase regalia by April 15. All graduates will receive nine (9) total tickets—one for the graduating student and eight guest tickets.

 

GUEST TICKET LOTTERY
Beginning Monday, February 5, at 9 a.m. (CST), the ticket lottery will open for Law graduates to request up to five (5) additional guest tickets from the unclaimed ticket pool. The deadline to enter the lottery is April 15.

If selected, you may collect your original six tickets and tickets awarded through the lottery at the Commencement Pickup event in June.

Regalia Ordering
To participate in your commencement ceremony, all graduates must wear regalia, which can be purchased through Herff Jones. The deadline to order regalia is Tuesday, April 30. Refer to the Cap and Gown page on the commencement website for pricing and additional details.

Do you have an inspiring or encouraging message for your fellow graduates? All graduating students are welcome to apply to be the student speaker at their college’s  commencement ceremony. Students, their families, and DePaul faculty, staff, and administrators of all faith traditions are invited to attend the annual Baccalaureate Mass on Friday, June 14 to celebrate and give thanks for our graduating seniors.

 

Graduates are invited to participate in the procession wearing their academic regalia. Please RSVP to attend here. For more information, visit this page.
