Faculty members are required to participate in commencement ceremonies
as this marks a milestone in the lives of our students, their families and friends. Faculty participation includes the opening procession, joining university officials on stage and celebrating with our graduates and their guests.
You will receive an email from your respective Dean with RSVP information and an opportunity to reserve academic regalia. College Coordinators will be managing this information. A list of College Coordinators by college/school is provided below.

Faculty should plan to be at their ceremony at least one hour prior to start time.
Parking for all ceremonies is available at McCormick Place in Parking Lot A, 2301 S. Prairie Ave. Regular parking rates will apply. We encourage everyone to utilize the CTA, transit information is here.
Regalia Pick Up and Return
Faculty must pick up their regalia during Commencement Kick Off events held on campus the week before commencement. Please see complete event schedule here.
Very Important: Regalia not picked up during the Commencement Kick Off will not be available on commencement day.
Following your ceremony, you will be asked to return your regalia to commencement staff.
