Faculty members are required to participate in commencement ceremonies
as this marks a milestone in the lives of our students, their families and friends. Faculty participation includes the opening procession, joining university officials on stage and celebrating with our graduates and their guests.
You will receive an email from your respective Dean with RSVP information and an opportunity to reserve academic regalia. College Coordinators will be managing this information. A list of College Coordinators by college/school is provided below.

Faculty should plan to be at their ceremony at least one hour prior to start time.
Parking for all ceremonies is available at McCormick Place in Parking Lot A, 2301 S. Prairie Ave. Regular parking rates will apply. Traffic is always heavy in the area and the parking garage can have long lines, please plan accordingly. We encourage everyone to utilize the CTA, transit information is here.
Faculty should use the security entrance on 21st Street (between Indiana and Prairie Avenues) to enter the arena. The door is marked by the words SECURITY ENTRANCE; on commencement day, signs outside the door will direct you to it.

Regalia Pick Up and Return
Faculty are encouraged to pick up their regalia during Commencement Kick Off events held on campus the week before commencement. Please see complete event schedule here.
Regalia also will be available on commencement day near the faculty lineup area inside Wintrust.
Following your ceremony, you will be asked to return your regalia to commencement staff.
