Career Communities are your guide for exploring, making connections and launching a career in a specific field of interest. Communities provide information, opportunities for exploration and experience, and mutual support in a variety of ways. Through these communities, students will cultivate professional skills with guidance from career advisors, industry experts, alumni, faculty and employers in their chosen field of interest.

You can select more than one! Regardless of your chosen major, you can explore multiple Career Communities and attend events across all industries – you’ll develop a great network for future opportunities and learn about a variety of career paths. To join a community,
log into Handshake and update your Career Interests.
Click your name in the top right hand corner.
Click on "Career Interests" from the list of options (under My Profile and Documents) Scroll down to "Career Communities".
Select which Career Communities you want to join. Click "Save My Career Interests" and you're done!

The BE Community serves those interested in the utilization of strategy and analysis to help organizations function efficiently. Career areas include accounting, finance, leadership, management, and business development.
The EHSG Community serves those interested in helping and advocating for others, educating children and adults, solving societal issues, creating policy and serving in government (federal, local, municipal) roles.
This community focuses on improving lives by applying research and technology to fieldwork, clinical environments, lab functions, and a wide variety of other roles.
The MAE Community focuses on careers that use various media to produce creative, compelling expression. These fields emphasize strong written and verbal communication skills, artistic/creative expression, and an understanding of communication and information channels.
This community is focused on the implementation of skill-sets anchored in the utilization of technology and data analytics to inform decisions, solve complex problems, and drive innovation across industries.
