DePaul Graduate Programs:
DePaul’s combined bachelor’s and master’s degree programs allow you to earn both your undergraduate and graduate degrees in as few as five years (rather than the traditional six or more). Some of the courses you’ll take during your senior year will count toward both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and you’ll seamlessly transition from your undergraduate classes to your graduate coursework. Once you earn your bachelor’s degree at DePaul, you’ll receive the Double Demon Scholarship. You’ll save about 40 percent on tuition for your master’s degree with this scholarship and the graduate courses you took during your senior year. A number of undergraduate majors can be combined with graduate programs to create the combined degree that’s right for you. If you’re interested in pursuing a combined degree, we recommend you discuss your options with your academic advisor, usually at the beginning of your sophomore year.
Earn your master’s in International Studies and develop a complex, informal perspective on global inequality. This academically rigorous program, grounded in critical theory, focuses on themes of power and global systems. We’re dedicated to building a community of scholars and researchers who demonstrate a commitment to questioning power and politics in a way that bridges theory and practice.
The MA in Applied Diplomacy is dedicated to preparing students to enter this dynamic world of diplomacy. Our core courses offer all students a shared understanding of diplomatic studies, global relations, international political economy and sustainable international development, a firm foundation that complements each of our six diverse concentrations.
DePaul University’s Refugee and Forced Migration Studies graduate program is the first in the United States. The program provides a mix of academic and practical training designed to prepare you for careers in refugee resettlement and asylum, legal and NGO work, and academia. The program is broadly interdisciplinary. Students take classes in law, history, public service, and international studies. It is also very hands-on: We have two sets of practicums built in, through which students participate in internships working directly with refugees and refugee-serving organizations.
DePaul’s master’s in International Public Service (IPS) is designed for students interested in the field of international development and global humanitarian affairs. You’ll gain the skills and expertise to manage, lead and evaluate international projects and organizations.
