Resizing Bio Headshots

Start by launching Photoshop, which is available for all university faculty and staff.
Click File and then Open to select your headshot.
Once you have opened the file, you will need to click on the Crop icon. Make sure this feature is set to Ratio. Type 255 pixels by 300 pixels, which will be the size of the photo.
Drag the image to center your headshot. Once the photo is centered, click on the checkmark to crop.
In the menu, click Image and select Image Size. Set the resolution to 72, change the resample option to Bilinear and make sure the picture size is still 255 pixels by 300 pixels. Click OK.
To optimize your resized headshop for the web, you will need to click on File, Save for Web. Make sure the file is saved as a JPEG. Click Save and save it to your computer with a clear file name with no spaces or special characters. For example depaulheadshot.jpeg
