Downloading the Panopto Recorder

The Panopto Recorder can be downloaded onto a Mac or Windows device to record videos, lectures, PowerPoints, etc. for use in a D2L course.

Download Panopto on a Mac

  1. Navigate to depaul.hosted.panopto.com.
  2. If not already selected, choose D2L from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select Sign In.
  4. A new page will open. Log in using Campus Connect credentials.
  5. The Panopto site will open. Once there, select Create [A].

  6. A menu will open. Select Panopto for Mac [A].

  7. From the options under "Panopto," select Download Installer: macOS 10.15 and up [A].

  8. Follow the instructions for the installer.

Download Panopto for Windows

    1. Navigate to depaul.hosted.panopto.com.
    2. If not already selected, choose D2L from the dropdown menu.
    3. Select Sign In.
    4. A new page will open. Log in using Campus Connect credentials.
    5. The Panopto site will open. Once there, select Create [A].

    6. A menu will open. Select Panopto for Windows [A].

    7. From the options under "Panopto," select Download Installer: Windows 8.1 and up (64 bit) [A].

    8. Follow the instructions for the installer.
