  3. Enter a name for your register.
  4. Select a scheme in the Attendance Scheme drop-down menu:
    • System Scheme includes only "present" or "absent" options.
    • Present, Absent, Late, Excused Scheme (PALE) adds options for "Late," which counts as half attendance credit, and "Excused," which gives full credit but notes that students did not attend a class session.
  5. Enter a percentage that indicates your minimum attendance requirement in the Cause for Concern field (optional). For example, if students cannot miss more than 20% of classes without their grades being impacted, enter "80" in this field.
  6. De-select the "Allow users to view this attendance register" option if you don't want students to be able to see it (optional).
  7. Enter the dates of or names for the first three class sessions in the textboxes in the Session name column.
  8. Enter the number of rows that need to be added for all of the remaining class sessions in the textbox below the Sessions column, then click the Add Sessions button. For example, if your class meets biweekly (has 20 sessions), enter "17". A confirmation pop-up window will open.
  9. Click the Save button to save your register set-up thus far. The window will close, and the new textboxes will be added to the Sessions column.
  10. Enter names for the rest of the sessions in the new textboxes that you added.
  11. Click Save.
