Updated COVID-19 vaccination policy

Students entering DePaul beginning Summer Session 1 (June 12) and later will not be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

DePaul University life trustee Edward Gardner passed away on Monday, March 20. Gardner founded Soft Sheen in Chicago in 1964, which grew to be the largest, Black-owned beauty company in the United States by the late 1980s. He was elected to the DePaul board of trustees in 1988 and became a life trustee in 1997.​

A research team led by two DePaul geography faculty was recently awarded a $250,000 NASA grant to collaborate with a Chicago community on an expanded online dashboard that uses satellite data to bring disparities in tree canopy coverage, plant diversity and air quality into focus.

Bob Janis, VP for Facility Operations, announces retirement

Dan Allen named President of LaSalle University

​LaSalle University has appointed Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D., DePaul senior vice president for Advancement and External Relations, as the its 30th president, effective April 18, 2022.  Allen has led DePaul's advancement division since July 2018 and last year was named senior vice president for advancement and external relations.

Vincentian Endowment Fund: Call for proposals

Email and voicemail migration to Microsoft Exchange Online

​Over the next few months, Information Services will move DePaul email accounts from our on-premises Exchange email servers to the Microsoft 365 cloud, also known as Microsoft Exchange Online. In preparation for this migration, DePaul voicemail users will move to the new Unity voicemail service on Feb 10.

Lucia Dettori named interim dean for College of Computing and Digital Media

​​DePaul University Provost Salma Ghanem has named Lucia Dettori interim dean for the College of Computing and Digital Media, effective July 1. Dettori, who currently serves as associate dean and associate professor in CDM's School of Computing, has accepted a two-year appoint​ment to lead the college.

$300,000 gift addresses vital student need

​DePaul Life Trustee Joanne Velasquez and her husband, Arthur, are helping those in need realize their academic and career aspirations through a generous $300,000 gift to fund the Velasquez Family Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes and supports high-potential graduates of Chicago Catholic high schools who wish to enroll at DePaul and who demonstrate financial need.

​As finals approach, University Counseling Services reminds all faculty and staff of the available services and resources to improve students’ wellbeing. UCS has partnered with My Student Support Program to offer counseling services via phone, chat or video call. The My SSP app allows students to easily connect with a therapist, and has digital health and wellness resources, self-assessment tools and a fitness app, among other resources.​

BUILD program momentum carries into new academic year
